tg wireless manager
With the TG Wireless Manager you can centrally monitor and control wireless systems with a network interface. The clearly structured, intuitive user interface, combined with meaningful feature naming, makes it particularly simple to use. In addition to the remote control, TG Wireless Manager enables the calculation of intermodulation-free frequency set-ups also regarding products from other market players. beyerdynamic systems can also be configured offline, allowing multi-channel setups to be created easily in the run up to an event. Useful user groups can be configured for beyerdynamic wireless systems such as the digital wireless system TG 1000. The RF environment conditions can be monitored continuously during live applications with TG Wireless Manager thanks to an integrated scan function. The radius of action that can be covered reliably can be determined conveniently by means of a “walking test”.
Preparation of scenes and setting in the offline mode
The required channels can be added via a so-called "Project Device List". Via the button "Manage Device" the desired channels of the "Project Device List" can be simply added from the "Network Device List" via drag & drop. You can also add all channels via the "Add All Devices" button. If there are no receivers in the network, dummy receivers can be added via "Add Dummy". By adding different tabs different, individual ads can be created. Via "Properties" the channels can be individually prepared. Once the preparations have been completed, the project can be saved and reopened for use at a later date.
Working in the online mode
If the receivers and the PC / notebook are in a network, the project can be switched online via "Go Online" after preparing a project in offline mode. Now the query opens, if the settings should be taken over from the project or from the receivers. With the "Quick Start" button all channels of the recipients that are in the network can be displayed on the desktop. The project will then be automatically set online. As soon as a transmitter on the channel is switched on, the surface of the channels in the software indicates the used handheld transmitter with capsule or bodypack transmitter. Likewise, the RF level and the audio level are displayed as bars. The gain can be changed via the buttons "+" and "-" directly in the channel display without opening the settings. In addition, all other settings, such as "Power Lock" displayed. "Power Lock" displayed. As soon as resynchronization is required, the "sync symbol" appears on the interface. As an additional Add On, a channel can be switched off via the "Channel Mute" button without having to set it directly on the transmitter. By clicking on the button "Go Offline" the project can be put offline again.
Setting up user groups
The digital wireless system TG 1000 from beyerdynamic offers the possibility to deposit own user groups on the receivers. This allows faster frequency allocation and distribution of frequencies across many channels. The groups can be created using the "User Groups" button. Frequencies can either be added manually by clicking the "Add" button or from an existing user group via a .bin or txt. file to be imported. Each group can be named individually and assigned to the different user groups (U1 - U9). All frequencies in a group can be sorted in ascending, descending, or random order within the group. By clicking the "Save" button, a user group can be called .bin file to be saved. Via the button "Upload" the user group can be saved to one or all recipients.
Under "Walking Test", the RF coverage can be e.g. be tested on the stage. By clicking on the "Walking Test" button, a new window opens in which the channel to be tested can be selected. After starting the test, the RF levels of both antennas are displayed so that it is immediately apparent where there is no good coverage. Once the test is completed, the result can be saved as an image file.
In preparation for an event, the frequency range should be scanned to detect possible interference, such as DVB-T. The TG Wireless Manager offers this option under the "Frequency Scan" section. Since the scan must rely on a receiver channel, only channels can be selected after which the frequency scan is called, on which no transmitter is active. Before a scan is started, the frequency range and the resolution can be specified. Click on the "Single Scan" button to perform a one-time scan. Clicking the Continious Scan button permanently scans the selected area. The scan can be stopped at any time by clicking the "Stop" button. When a scan is finished, the result can be saved via "Save". The scan can be saved as image and excel file for later calculation. With "Load" previously saved scans can be recalled.
The Frequency Calculation section can be used to calculate frequency setups, especially for multi-channel applications. All beyerdynamic wireless microphones with their associated frequency parameters are stored in the software and can be used directly. There are three different security levels: If "Robust" is selected, the calculation of the individual frequencies will ensure that the setup works reliably even under difficult conditions. However, the maximum number of channels can not be used here. If more channels are needed and the environmental conditions are good, the setup can be calculated with "More Frequencies". The third mode "Standard" is a compromise between the largest possible number of channels and security. If radio systems of competitors are to be considered in the calculation, they must be created once. The corresponding frequency parameters are to be requested from the respective manufacturer. To start a calculation, it is first determined how many channels are needed by which system in which frequency range. Subsequently, disturbed areas, e.g. a busy TV channel or individual frequencies that need to be kept free are excluded from the calculation. If a frequency scan has been carried out before, the "occupied" areas can be imported from it. Once all parameters have been set, the calculation can be started. Once the calculation has been made, the frequencies for each channel can be viewed. The setup can be exported as a .csv file. For beyerdynamic systems, such as the TG 1000 digital wireless system, a user group can be created directly with the calculated result.
